Why we Fundraise

Throughout the year Kitchener-Waterloo Gymnastics Club provides fundraising opportunities to our competitive and recreational families.

For competitive program families, these contributions offset what would be added to monthly fees and for both recreational and competitive families, the money raised goes toward facility operating costs.

Current Fundraisers

October - Gymathon

Gymathon is a fitness challenge day during a special event for competitive families on November 2nd. Participants raise pledges leading up to the event for completing the circuit. Prizes are awarded based on the amount of the pledges each participant receives.

This year our top Gymathon fundraisers will enter a raffle to win an iPad!

All competitive athletes must register by October 24th (this give our staff time to make teams for the event!)

How Do I Get Involved?

Register to attend Gymathon
Collect pledges leading up to Gymathon and bring them with you on November 2nd - Download your Pledge Sheet form (you will soon receive a physical copy from your coach)
Hand your pledges to the volunteers and get ready to Gymathon!
Participate in the circuit and activities and receive your prizes at the end!

Competitive families will receive 1 FEP credit for every $25 raised for Gymathon. If any families require a tax receipt for their fundraising donation then they will not be eligible to receive FEP credits.

November (1/3) - Chocolate Barr's Mintie Bars

Canadian-made milk chocolate Mintie Bars (similar to Mint Smoothies) from Chocolate Barr's Candies in Stratford, Ontario.

Cost: $3 per bar
Competitive Families: 19 Mintie Bars = 1 FEP

How to Order (through Jackrabbit):

Log into your Jackrabbit account.
Register for the "Mintie Bar Fundraiser" event (in Classes and Events).
Enter your total number of bars in the Questions section.
Make sure you see the green checkmark confirming your order is complete.

You cannot edit your order once submitted. If you need to make changes, email [email protected]. There is no order limit.

Timeline:

Opens: Monday, October 27
Closes: Wednesday, November 12 at 7 PM
Accounts charged: Thursday, November 13
Pick-up: Monday, December 1 (2-6 PM) at 805 Victoria St. S., Front Lobby

November (2/3) - MacMillan's Gourmet Foods

Our next fundraiser is a popular one! MacMillans has traditionally sold frozen cookie dough and muffin mixes and now they have expanded their product line to include desserts, frozen appetizers, soups, and even frozen fruit.

Consider MacMillan's goodies for your holiday entertaining!

Competitive Families: Every $100 sold = 1 FEP

How to Order:

Option 1 - Paper Orders

Complete the paper flyer and submit with cash only to the office.
*Don't want to bring cash? We can charge your account for your total order value.
Cheques are not accepted.

Option 2 - Online Orders

Go to macmillansfundraising.online
Click "Fundraising Shop."
Select your items and click "View Cart" or "Check Out."
Choose "KW Gymnastics" from the Organization/School Name dropdown.
Enter your gymnast's name so we know who to credit.
Complete your payment online.

Timeline:

Opens: Monday, October 27
Closes: Monday, November 17
*Late orders cannot be accepted
Pick-up: Tuesday, December 16 at 805 Victoria St. S. (time TBD)

Refrigeration is not available please ensure items are picked up on December 16 to avoid disappointment.

November (3/3) - Warren Greenhouses Poinsettias

Locally grown poinsettias in 3 colours (Red, Pink, White) and 4 sizes (4.5", 6", 8", 10") perfect for decorating or gifting. Prices are listed on the order sheet and differ depending on each option.

Competitive Families: 5 Poinsettias = 1 FEP

How to Order:

Pick up a paper order form from the office.
Collect orders & payment from neighbours, family, and friends.
Submit all forms to the office by the deadline, your JackRabbit account will be charged for the order total.
